About Me

rojasfancy1.jpgI am a recent library school graduate who is currently employed as a school librarian outside of Philadelphia. I aspire to work with learners of all ages throughout the span of my career as a result of successful experiences working with K-12 students, teachers, undergraduate and graduate students, professors, and adults. I enjoy teaching in a variety of contexts since I have the pleasure of meeting my patrons where they are, assisting them with their information needs, and contributing a positive attitude during the transaction.  I have a penchant for technology and implementing its use in schools and libraries and am enthusiastic about teaching technology and making it simple to understand.

I graduated with my master’s degree in December 2014 from the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and stayed in Illinois an additional year to complete requirements for my K-12 teaching license, which I obtained in January 2016. I continue to stay enrolled in the school’s certificate of advanced studies program online and intend to continue developing myself professionally through coursework and research.
